My rabbit adventure began in December of 1999
when my brother and I were given two Netherland Dwarf pet quality
bucks. Being the curious youth that I am, I shortly found myself on the
Internet looking for information about these short and cobby little
furry guys.
The following spring I attended my first
American Rabbit Breeders Association rabbit show and came home with
a Netherland Dwarf junior doe. That lead to contacting local adult
rabbit breeders through my county 4-H program, which in turn
lead me to contacting state wide, regional, and national Dwarf
rabbit breeders as time went by.
Today, four years later I am still learning
every day with this small livestock project. My rabbitry goals
continue to change and mature just as I am. I could never have
imagined when I began this adventure where this journey would lead
me. I have already met lots of great people and learned a ton of new
life skills with a good share of my adventure still ahead of me.
